Dr. Jennifer McCollum is known to her patients as “Gem,” a nickname fitting this unique woman whose knowledge and love for helping others is certainly rare.
Including her two doctoral years of practice, Dr. Gem has been practicing naturopathic medicine since 2002, nutrition since 1996, and herbology for over 30 years. She works with all stages of a person’s life and a wide range of conditions. As a family physician, Dr. Gem treats illness and conditions in all body systems, and provides counseling in addition to physical treatment.
After training and learning much of her herbal knowledge from N.D. Master Herbalist Michael Tierra of the EastWest Herbal School in California, Dr. Gem obtained her B.S. in Human Nutrition and B.S. in Horticulture from New Mexico State University. She later earned her Masters in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (MNLP) from The Christopher Howards University. She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in 2002 from Bastyr University in Washington State, and her certification in Cranial Sacral Therapy from Bastyr’s Craniosacral Seminar Classes. Dr. Gem is also a reverend, and a skilled counselor. She specializes in several fields of treatment:
